Ernie Banks’ 1954 rookie card marked the beginning of a Hall of Fame career that would bring back to back MVP Awards and membership in the exclusive 500 Home Run Club. Banks has signed the card in blue marker, adding his famed nickname, “Mr. Cub.” The card is graded a PSA EX 5 and has clean colors which compliments Banks’ bright blue signature. The signature has been graded Authentic by PSA/DNA. PSA’s database shows only 10 signed Ernie Banks rookie cards, and of those, only three are graded higher than this key example.
