Stan Musial was, quite simply, one of the greatest baseball players in history. Completing his entire, 22-year career with the St. Louis Cardinals, Musial won seven National League batting titles and helped the Redbirds win three World Series titles: 1942, ’44 and ’46. Nicknamed “Stan the Man,” Musial was a fan favorite in baseball stadiums across the country.

Featured here is Musial’s gorgeous 1954 St. Louis Cardinals game-worn road jersey. Preserved in completely original, unaltered condition, the offered gray flannel zip-front pullover jersey marks a season in which Musial put up a typically astonishing stat line. A career year by most standards, his .330 average, 35 homers and 126 RBI were the rule for Musial, not the exception. 1954 also saw “Stan The Man” lead the NL in runs scored (120) and doubles (41).

From the prime of Musial's hallowed career, this stunning Cardinals road jersey displays the team name in red and black felt script across the front with Musial's legendary No. 6 in red felt with navy blue outline on the reverse. The jersey front includes the classic embroidered “birds on bat” Cardinals’ logo across the chest. The Hall of Famer has signed in blue fine-point marker on the jersey’s left front tail just above his chain stitched last name in red. The Rawlings manufacturing “Hall of Fame” tag remains sewn on the inside rear collar with a Size '44' adjacent flag tag. The interior front tail reveals a dry clean tag along with a 'Set 1 1954' flag tag. Red piping outlines the length of the jersey’s zipper and continues around the collar and encircles both short sleeve openings. The jersey shows light but obvious usage wear, remaining in outstanding original condition with superb display qualities.
