This one sheet poster was issued in promotion of the 1954 Republic Pictures release, Roogie’s Bump. In the film, new kid on the block "Roogie" Rigsby is ostracized by the neighborhood kids, who won't let him play baseball with them. One day, however, the ghost of a onetime Brooklyn Dodger great (William Harrigan) takes pity on the boy and gives him a magical bump, endowing Roogie with a major-league arm. Now outclassing the local kids entirely, Roogie lands a position with the Brooklyn Dodgers. The film includes cameos by real life Dodgers Roy Campanella, Billy Loes, Carl Erskine and Russ Meyer. The colorful poster graphics include likenesses of these Dodger greats. This vintage poster is framed, but visible in its entirety. Typical fold lines are visible and some chipping to the apparently brittle paper is mostly relegated to the edges and could be easily matted out. Apparent VG-EX condition.
