1954 Red Heart Baseball complete set with most cards appearing to be in the EX to NM range. We sent the key Mantle, Snider, and Musial cards to PSA for grading. Mantle and Snider came back EX-MT PSA 6 while the Musial rated a VG-EX 4. We felt the Mantle and Snider presented more NM than EM. The 22 blue and green background cards were obtained by consignor from Wholesale Cards Company back in the late 1960's. The other 11 were pieced together from local shows at that time. The other cards appear to us to be:
NM - Bell, Cox, Dark, Fondy, Fox(HOF), Kuenn, Lollar, McMillan, Minoso, Sauer, Spahn(HOF), and White. (Once again, we felt the Mantle & Snider looked to be NM, but PSA graded the EX-MT 6)).
EX-MT - Baumholtz, Erskine, Gilliam, Martin, McDougald, Pierce, Rosen, Schoendienst, Yost.
EX - Ashburn(HOF), Kluszewski, Lemon(HOF), Slaughter(HOF), Zernial.
VG-EX PSA 4 - Musial(HOF).
