The 1954 New York Yankees finished with a record of 103-51 to wind up in second place in the American League standings, a full eight games behind the A.L. Champion Cleveland Indians. The team was managed by Casey Stengel and led by the steady bats of players like Mickey Mantle, Hank Bauer, Yogi Berra and Bill “Moose” Skowron. This official American League (Harridge) Reach baseball has been signed in blue ink by 27 members of the ’54 Yankees. Across the sweet spot can be found signatures of both Hall of Famer Berra and pitcher Allie Reynolds. Other notable signatures found on the ball include Hall of Famers’ Mickey Mantle, Enos Slaughter and Ed “Whitey” Ford, along with Skowron, Bauer, Ralph Branca, Jerry Coleman, Bob Grim and John Sain. The ball shows some toning, but is in remarkably good condition. The signatures rate a strong 7-8/10.
