Full road uniform of pitcher Leroy Wheat from the final year of the Athletics in Philadelphia. 1954 was the only year in Philadelphia history this style was used with the team name Athletics stitched across the front. Jersey: #40. Wheat stitched in collar. MacGregor Size 46. Pearson Sporting Goods 1010 Chestnut St Phila 7 PA Tag and Set 2 1954 Tag at bottom. Beautiful condition jersey has light wear and is totally original with no changes. There are no holes and just a couple of light stains. Pants: Wheat stitched on inside back with Set 2 1954 at inside front. MacGregor Size 38 and Pearson Sporting Goods 1010 Chestnut St Phila 7 PA tags inside front waistband. 1" hole and 3" tear at right knee. Wear and some stains mainly on the reverse. Dark Blue stirrups each exhibit wear and show spike marks. Very colorful and eye appealing uniform!
