Overtime, an amazing Bob Cousy performance, and an SRO crowd at New York's Madison Square Garden made the fourth All-Star Game a thriller for 16,487 eyewitnesses.

Led by the ballhandling of Boston's Bob Cousy and the Knicks' Dick McGuire, the East held an 84-82 edge with only seconds remaining in the game. Then George Mikan of Minneapolis was fouled. He sank both free throws, sending the game into overtime. In the extra period Cousy went on a tear, bewildering and bewitching the West as he scored 10 points to secure a 98-93 victory. The losers' Jim Pollard of Minneapolis, the game's high scorer with 23 points, had been named MVP in a vote taken before regulation time had run out. But after Cousy's overtime show another ballot was taken, and the Boston star became the MVP.

Presented here is an exceptional high-grade 1954 NBA All-Star Game program. The interior is scored in pencil, however the program shows minimal handling wear and presents at the EX-MT to NM level.
