The Minneapolis Lakers were the NBA's first real dynasty, winning five championships in a six-year span from 1948-49 to 1953-54, all under the guidance of Hall of Fame head coach
John Kundla and the dominating play of "Mr. Basketball" George Mikan. This original black and white team photograph hails from the final year of that incredible title run and is signed by nine members of that special group of men, six of whom are inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame. Signatures include Mikan (HOF), Coach Kundla (HOF), Vern Mikkelsen (HOF), Slater Martin (HOF), Clyde Lovellette (HOF), Jim Pollard (HOF), Jim Holstein, Whitey Skoog and Frank "Pep" Saul. Three Each has signed vertically over their image, with three in bright 8/10 blue pen and the rest done in less bold black or blue ink. The 11" by 14" photo comes nicely matted and ready to frame. Outstanding vintage Lakers team signed photo of the "original" Lakers legends.
