On full display in this photograph is the care-free and effortless beauty that made Marilyn the sex symbol of the 1950s and beyond. Taken circa 1952, this photograph of a young Marilyn Monroe posing in a form-flattering swimsuit was a publicity shot for the film, “Clash by Night.” The Fritz Lang picture starred Barbara Stanwyck and Robert Ryan and became notorious when nude calendar photos of Marilyn surfaced during filming. The RKO Radio Pictures image measures 7 ½ x 10 and remains in overall outstanding condition with strong corners and no issues to report. The reverse has an RKO Pictures stamp and description. A beautiful Type 1 photo of Marilyn Monroe from the beginning of her fame. The photograph his been encapsulated and graded Type 1 Authentic by PSA.
