Very nice evenly matched pair from the very popular 1951 Connie Mack All-Star issue. Both have outstanding color and strong picture detail. Neither has been folded and the backs are completely in tack. The Mack is super clean front and back while the Gehrig has a minimal amount of wear to the left edge of the small center piece. At first glance both appear EX+ but closer inspection reveals small flaws that would preclude them from anything higher than VG. The Gehrig has tiny light creases on the front at the end of the bat and at the elbow. These show through to the back. On the back there is a very slight surface wrinkle that runs up the center for about 2 inches but does not show on front. The Mack appears problem free on the front but has the same very light surface wrinkle down the middle on the back. All in all, a very pleasing duo of cards from a very tough issue.
