One of the more popular examples from the 1949 Bowman issue, the Satchell Paige is sure to please and continues to garner more attention as the decades continue to pass by. This example comes with an EX-MT 6 grade from PSA and exhibits outstanding clarity and color. The immaculate reverse exhibits a brief bio of one of the pioneer's of people of color in the majors, "One of the most fabulous characters in baseball. Satchell spent many years traveling around the Negro Leagues before being signed to a Cleveland Indians contract. His exact age is not known, but he's been in baseball for years." The overall appearance of the cardboard classic exhibits decent eye appeal with some modest corner wear and some centering issues.
