Complete 1948 Bowman set with forty-two of the forty-eight cards signed on the front by the respective player. The six cards that are unsigned in the offered set are #22 Bevins, #29 Page, #34 Jones, #35 Stirnweiss, #43 Edwards, and #46 Wehmeier. All others are signed. Key rookie cards of many stars and Hall of Famers highlight Bowman's first baseball card issue. Each card has been neatly signed, with the vast majority of signatures scripted in either blue or black ink (a few are signed in felt-tip pen). Signatures range from "8" to "10," averaging a strong "9."
