Beautiful condition insert from La Cronica Magazine featuring small portrait photos of the members of the 1948-49 Cuban Winter League team, the Almendares. Crystal clear black and white images have all had the caps colored in with blue ink, in the same nature as the 1949 Bowman baseball issue. Several major league players are pictured. They are: Monte Irvin, Chuck Connors, Sam Jethroe, Willy Miranda, Al Gionfrido, Morrie Martin, Bill Wright, Connnie Marrero, Mike Sandlock, Wes Hamner, Hector Rodriguez, and Mike Guerra. A couple of 3/8" by 4" pieces of white tape have been applied on the back to the original center fold to add strength. A small piece has also been applied to one corner. None of this is evident on the front of the poster. Large 12" by 17 1/2 piece would look incredible when framed and matted.
