The 1947 (D305 or W571 series) Bond Bread homogenized set features 44 different baseball players highlighted by marquis Hall of Famers Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Phil Rizzuto, Yogi Berra, Stan Musial and this series key, Jackie Robinson. The black-and-white cards (2.5” by 3.5”) were issued with rounded corners and blank backs, coming in select store-bought bags of Bond Bread in the late 1940's. This single Jackie Robinson card appears crease-free with only slight traces of edge wear. A historically important card seldom seen in this condition. It predated Jackie's 1948 Bowman release as his real, true rookie card. Graded EX 5 by SGC, it is the highest rated example of this non-traditional Jackie Bond Bread issue that we've ever come across.
