Incredible April 24, 1942 TSL signed by Hall of Famer Eddie Collins, Vice President of the Boston Red Sox at the time, to Samuel Goldwyn regarding the making of a movie about the life of the legendary Lou Gehrig. In the letter, Collins gives the producer the right to use the Red Sox name, logo, uniforms, stadium, and all other things associated with the Red Sox for use in the making of the movie, all at no cost or obligation. Very strong 8-9/10 vintage black ink signature. Nicely preserved letter with the only minor distractions. A pair of holes at the top for holding the letter in place, some rusting where a staple/paper clip were at the upper left corner, and some 1/4" foxing along about 2/3 of the right hand edge. . Includes full LOA from PSA/DNA.
