This historic offering measuring approximately 7-3/4" x 9-3/4" portrays Babe Ruth signing a hoard of baseballs for orphaned boys from the Nazareth House of North Hollywood, CA. The captivated kids met Ruth at the train upon his arrival to Los Angeles for the filming of "The Pride of the Yankees", and in typical Ruthian fashion, he immediately invited them to breakfast and he signed scores of baseballs for all of the boys. The photo itself depicts extraordinary contrast and clarity, with a gleaming surface, no obtrusive creasing and only a diminutive upper left corner chip. The flipside reveals a light HAL MCALPIN credit stamp, and more significantly, a caption depicting a detailed historical account of the breathtaking illustration. This iconic image is a reminder of how the baseball legend spent countless hours to provide his young fans with a Ruthian memento they could cherish for a lifetime! - PSA Type I Encapsulation
