1941 Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb Original Photograph – PSA/DNA Type 1

Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth represented two different times in baseball, as Cobb’s Dead Ball era ended and gave way to a new style of baseball that Babe Ruth dominated.  At the time of this meeting in 1941, both were retired, and arguably the two greatest living legends in the game’s history. Each man had an MVP to his name and was a part of the famous inaugural Baseball Hall of Fame class in 1936. The two look quite joyful to be encountering each other, and the offered original photograph truly showcases the larger-than-life presence of both men. The image is in encapsulation and deemed a Type I photo by PSA/DNA.
