Facing Claude Passeau, the Splendid Splinter launched a game-winning, 3-run homer to win it for the AL in perhaps the most exciting finish in the history of the Midsummer Classic. The signatures of Boudreau, Feller, Heath and Kelter are deemed clubhouse versions. Notations “Detroit All-Star” and “1942” (erroneously) appear in an unknown hand.
