The St. Louis Browns baseball team played in the American League from 1902 through 1953 before moving to Baltimore to become the Orioles. While they were a competitive team most years, the St. Louis Browns never won a World Series title. Their only visit to the Fall Classic, in fact, occurred in 1944 when they lost to the cross-town National League Champion St. Louis Cardinals, four games to two. This lot includes a circa 1940’s St. Louis Browns tie bar, complete with a Browns medallion hanging off the front.
