In 1940, the New York Yankees finished the season in third place with a record of 88-66, finishing two games behind the American League champion Detroit Tigers and one game behind the second-place Cleveland Indians. New York’s manager at that time was Joe McCarthy. This lot includes a team-signed official American League (Harridge) Reach Baseball with 23 signatures from that year’s Yankees lineup including Hall of Fame pitcher Red Ruffing across the sweet spot. Also includes Hall of Famer Joe Gordon. The Joe DiMaggio, Bill Dickey and Lefty Gomez have been deemed Clubhouse signed by PSA. The majority of autographs on the slightly shellacked baseball appear strong and rate 7-8/10.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
