The 1939 New York Yankees, managed by Joe McCarthy, posted a regular season record of 106-45 to win their 11th pennant, finishing 17 games ahead of the A.L. runner-up Boston Red Sox. In the World Series, they beat the Cincinnati Reds in four straight games. This season marked the first time any team had won four consecutive World Series. This lot includes an unused 1939 New York Yankees World Series press pin complete with its origi8nal Dieges & Cluster paper backing.
