Exceptional vintage photograph finds seven members of the mighty 1939 Yankee lined up on the dugout steps with bats in hand. Remarkably, all seven men pictured have signed the photo in uniform black fountain pen. From left to right is Joe McCarthy (7/10), Lou Gehrig (8/10), Red Ruffing (7-8/10), Lefty Gomez (7/10), Joe DiMaggio (7/10), Bill Dickey (7/10) and Red Rolfe (7/10). With the exception of Rolfe, all of these men are presently enshrined in Cooperstown. The visible are of the image measures 9-3/4” by 6-1/4”. Some evident surface creasing does not detract from the superb clarity and overall presentation quality of the photo. Matted and framed with a descriptive placard to an overall size of 19” by 22”.
