This 1939 Myril Hoag All-Star Game presentation pin is in excellent shape and features four diamonds, designed as bases on the infield of a baseball diamond. The unique design is accompanied by blue basepaths that read “American League” and “All-Star Game.” The centerpiece of the pin is a baseball engraved with “New York” and “1939”, denoting the year of the game. On the back of the pin, “Myril Hoag” is engraved atop “Dieges & Clust 10Karat.” Hoag was a solid outfielder for 13 MLB seasons and was a three-time World Champion with the New York Yankees (1932, '37 & '38). After the Yanks traded Hoag to the St. Louis Brown, he batted .295 with 10 HR and 75 RBI to make his only All-Star team. The 1939 All-Star game was played at Yankee Stadium on July 11, 1939, ending with an American League win, 3-1.
