The 1937 Yankees finished the regular season with a record of 102-52, thirteen games ahead of the Detroit Tigers for the pennant. The Yanks won their second of four consecutive World Series as Joe DiMaggio added to his rookie campaign with a remarkable sophomore season, leading the AL in runs (151), homers (46) and slugging percentage while batting .346 and driving in a career-high 167 runs. It was still Lou Gehrig's team, though, and the Iron Horse is perfectly represented on this '37 team ball across the sweet spot in blazing 8.5-9/10 black ink. The 23 signatures also include the authentic autographs of DiMaggio on the west panel (7/10), fellow HOFer Red Ruffing, Spud Chandler, Johnny Murphy, Red Rolfe, Hoag, Henrich, Crosetti, Broaca, Glenn, Hadley, Heffner, Jorgens, Makosky, Powell, Saltzgaver, Schulte, etc.

The OAL (Harridge) cream-colored ball is lightly shellacked and mostly clean (EX/EX-MT overall). Blue manufacturing stamps from Reach all remain sharp and clear. Strong black ink autographs average 7-8/10. According to PSA/DNA, there are five "Clubhouse" signatures: Dickey, Henrich, Crosetti, Malone, and DiMaggio. Note that DiMaggio, Henrich and Crosetti each signed twice; their other autographs are good. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (AG07314).
