This very scarce 1936 New York Yankees autographed 16" x 10" photo includes Joe DiMaggio and Lou Gehrig. This photo originates from the Tony Lazzeri estate and is signed by 7 members of this 1936 Championship squad. The Bronx Bombers returned to form in 1936, winning 102 regular season games and proceeding to secure the first of four straight World Series titles. Standing in a row before a game at Yankee Stadium the seven players are depicted with bats in hand. In black ink, each has signed the appropriate likeness. Executed vertically against the light background of his uniform pants, each players' signature is found with the boldest being Lou Gehrig. From left to right is Joe DiMaggio (Rookie), Frank Crosetti, Tony Lazzeri, Bill Dickey, Lou Gehrig, Jake Powell and George Selkirk. The photo shows excellent quality with a few creases.
