Incredible pair of first generation Thorne Photography Studio photos of the 1935 and 1936 World Champion New York Yankees. The year 1936 would showcase the brilliance of a young Joe DiMaggio for the first time. Both teams were loaded with members of the Hall of Fame -Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Tony Lazzeri, Bill Dickey, Lefty Gomez, Red Ruffing, Joe McCarthy, and Earle Coombs. Both photos carry the "THORNE PHOTO identification on back with all players listed on attached pieces of paper on the back. Each has exceptional clarity of player images with great detail. The 1935 photo is very clean with just a small amount of wear to the corners. The 1936 has a little more corner wear with a back crease at bottom center which does not break the front paper surface. Both have the smallest of [in holes at the top center.
