Rare complete set of original tickets to all three rounds of the 1933 U.S. Open Golf Championship held June 8-10 at North Shore Golf Club in Glenville, Ill., just outside Chicago. Winner Johnny Goodman remains the last amateur to win the USGA's holy event, or any major for that matter, 85 years ago and counting. At the time he was the eighth amateur to do it, following the lead of the great Bobby Jones who achieved the feat four times while still maintaining his amateur status. Each ticket remains in outstanding condition The reddish June 8th Round 1 ticket (VG-EX) has a few noticeable creases and fairly rounded corners. The off-white June 9th Round 2 ticket (EX) has some corner wear and a crease that stands out more on the reverse. The blue June 10th Final Round ticket (EX-MT) shows no creasing and little corner wear. Only the Round 2 ticket is missing its original string. Very tough to find any of these tickets, let alone a full set of three, in such great shape.
