OAL(Harridge) baseball signed by 16 members of the inaugural 1933 National League All-Star team. Players are: Dick Bartell, Wally Berger, Tony Cuccinello, Woody English, Chick Hafey(HOF), Bill Hallahan, Gabby Hartnett(HOF), Carl Hubbell(HOF), Chuck Klein(HOF), Pepper Martin, John McGraw(HOF), Bill McKechnie(HOF), Pie Traynor(HOF), Paul Waner(HOF), Lon Warneke, and Jimmie Wilson. All have signed in 7/10 to 8-9/10 blue ink. The American League won that first contest 4-2, with Babe Ruth's 2 run home run in the 3rd inning providing the margin of victory. The ball was obtained by Chicago White Sox manager Lew Fonseca and is inscribed "Lew Fonseca" on the sweet spot below McGraw and "To Eddie Katz" off to the side in the same green ink. Ball has been shellacked and has toned somewhat over the years. The original A. J. Reach box is also included. Pretty decent shape with a tear on one side repaired with vintage tape. Fonseca has written his name on top of the box. National League signed baseballs are many more times as difficult to find as their star studded American league counterpart. Beautiful signatures!
