Offered here is Babe Ruth's #181 card from the prestigious 1933 Goudey set. Recently graded FR 1.5 by PSA, it presents beautifully with a striking, crystal-clear shot of Ruth's famous right shoulder glance in Yankee pinstripes. The vibrant green backroun, clean off-white borders and bold print (front & back) give this card spectacular eye appeal for a low-grade example. If centering and corners were in a little better shape, we'd easily be looking at mid-grade status. This card along with Ruth's other three '33 Goudey issues listed in preceding lots 48-50 all come from our consignor's personal collection passed down from his father who got them straight from their original gum packs in the 1930's.
