The 4th Ryder Cup Matches were held at the Southport and Ainsdale Golf Club in Southport, England. The offered vintage photo pictures all ten US team members, Captain Walter Hagen, as well as 3 British dignitaries. Pictured on the photo are: Ed Dudley, Johnny Farrell, Sir Phillip Sassoon, Horton Smith, Olin Dutra, Craig Wood, Paul Runyan, Leo Diegel, H. R. H Duke of York, Walter Hagen, H. R. H. Prince of Wales, Gene Sarazen, Denny Shute, and Billie Burke. At the lower left corner, in vintage black ink, Sarazen has signed "Best Wishes, To Doctor Lynch, Gene Sarazen 1937". Visible portion of the framed photo measures 11" by 16". Total framed piece comes to 15 3/4" by 20 1/4". Vintage wood frame. Photo appears to be crease free. Paper covering back is heavily torn. The Americans lost to Great Britain in the competition by a score of 6½–5½ points.
