Ticket stub from Game 3 of the 1932 World Series between the New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs, played at Wrigley Field in Chicago on October 1, 1932. This was the famous game in which Babe Ruth hit the legendary "Called Shot" home run. In the top of the first with 2 men on, Babe Ruth stepped to the plate and put a shot into deep right center for a 3 run home run off Cub pitcher Charlie Root. Ruth was said to have pointed toward the outfield before his momentous blast. The two main problems are a 3/4" by 3/4" by 3/4" diagonal area of missing top paper at the upper right side and a 1/2" tear at the right center edge. Otherwise the ticket is in fairly nice condition with good color, clean front and back, and some light soiling. Corners about VG/VG-EX. No creasing to speak of except for a small diagonal crease at the lower right corner. A remarkable piece of Babe Ruth and World Series history.
