The 1932 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the X Olympiad, were hosted by the city of Los Angeles. Believe it or not, no other cities made a bid to host these Olympics as they were held during the worldwide Great Depression. As it turned out, fewer than half the participants of the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam returned to compete in 1932. This lot includes a black-and-white panoramic (12” high by 20” wide) photo of the 1932 Games Opening Ceremonies at the Los Angeles Coliseum.
