1931 World Series program for the games played at Sportsman's Park in St. Louis between the St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Athletics. Program has been scored in pencil for Game 2, a 3 hit 2-0 shut out by by the Cardinals Bill Hallahan over Hall of Fame pitcher Lefty Grove. In the Series the powerful Athletics would down the Cardinals 4 games to 3. Program loaded with player and executive photos, statistics, brief biographies, articles and interesting period ads. Inside pages in fairly nice shape with the center score sheet page detached. Spine split about 2" from the bottom with some wear but still pretty tight. Covers have some light creases with soiling both front and back. Back cover has some additional staining along the right side.

1942 World Series program for the games played at Sportsman's Park in St. Louis between the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Yankees. The Cardinals handled the Yankees 4-1, winning the last 4 games in a row. Unscored program loaded with player and executive photos, statistics, brief biographies, and interesting period ads. Inside pages in great condition. Spine has some wear but still tight and in tack. Covers has some creases with a few small tears. Program has evidence of being folded or rolled up at one time. All in all, still a decent looking program.
