1931 Metropolitan Studios St. Louis Cardinals Complete Set (30). Issued during one of the greatest era's in St. Louis Cardinals history, this set features many future members of the famed "Gashouse Gang". This set includes : James Bottomley, Dizzy Dean,Frank Frisch,Burleigh Grimes, Charles "Chuck" Hafey,Jesse Haines,John Leonard "Pepper" Martin, Gabby Street and a young vice president Branch Rickey. Metropolitan Studios took the opportunity to create this 6-1/4" x 9-1/2" promotion featuring 30 of the home town heroes--the St. Louis Cardinals. Needless to say circulation was limited in duration and geographic region making this one of the toughest 1930's issues to find. None have major creases. Grades mostly VG-EX with some lesser and some nicer.
