A fascinating one-page letter from the most famous umpire of the pre-war era. Penned in Bill Klem's artful script to N.L. president John Heydler, he discusses a call involving a disputed catch by Hall of Famer Paul Waner in an April 26th, 1931 game between Pittsburgh and St. Louis. Dated May 5th, 1931 on Congress Hotel and Annex (Chicago) stationery. Includes a full LOA from Beckett Authentication.
