This 8" x 9" sepia toned photograph pictures an image of a smiling Knute Rockne neatly dressed in a suit and bowler hat. Rockne has inscribed the image "To Mac, Best Wishes, Knute Rockne" in black fountain pen. The inscription and signature rate 8 out of 10 overall with his first name being somewhat lighter than the rest of the writing. The image shows multiple light creases and a small area of restoration to repair a hole, not affecting the inscription. Photographer name and date "H.C. Elmore 1930" appears printed on the image at bottom right. Glue and paper residue appear on back as a result of scrapbook removal. VG condition overall.
