Full unused ticket from the 1929 World Series, Game 1 at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Encapsulated as EX 5 by PSA, there is only one higher-graded example in existence. The Philadelphia Athletics traveled to Chicago for Game 1 to play the Chicago Cubs. The A's won the opener, 3-1, behind a 13-K, complete game gem by Howard Ehmke and they would finish off the Cubbies in five to become World Series Champions. The ticket is in excellent condition with a vibrantly colored face. The Athletics would win the 1930 World Series as well, making it the 2nd back-to-back championship streak in the team's history, all under Hall of Fame manager Connie Mack. If not for Ruth, Gehrig and company, this American League dynasty led by Foxx, Cochrane, Simmons and Grove would have gone even further.

Note: This ticket is labeled "Game A" and registered by PSA as "Game 1/A" on the holder and in the pop report. The only higher Game 1/A full is a NM 7. There is only one other Game 1/A full graded EX 5, and only one standard Game 1 full graded EX 5.
