In 1928, the New York Yankees got revenge on the St. Louis Cardinals for their 1926 Series defeat at the hands of the Cards. The Yanks easily handled St. Louis with a four game sweep. Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig combined to smack seven home runs in the series. This 8.75" x 11.75" Game 4 program issued at Sportsman’s Park is neatly scored in pencil, showcasing Ruth's historic three-homer game to give New York the Series Victory. The cover has the date “October 9 1928” written at the top and is in very good condition overall. This original 1928 World Series program from the games at Sportsman's Park is much harder to come by than the Yankee stadium version from the same year.
