This 1928 scorecard to a game between the Washington Senators and visiting Philadelphia Athletics has been signed on the 2 inside pages by a total of 22 players from both teams. Ty Cobb and Tris Speaker had been implicated in a gambling scandal the previous winter, forcing them to change teams. They both joined Connie Mack’s A’s for the 1928 campaign and retired at the end of the season. Both have signed this 1928 Senators home scorecard along with fellow future HOF’rs Eddie Collins, Jimmie Foxx (“rookie” season), Mickey Cochrane, Bucky Harris, and sixteen others (Joe Boley, Jimmie Dykes, Walter French, Geo. [“Mule”] Haas, Bump Hadley, Sammy Hall, Joe Hauser, Sam Jones, Joe Judge, Hod Lisenbee, Fred Marberry, Bing Miller, Al Schacht, Rube Walberg, Sam West and one other). This simple fold-over program is signed in such a way that it may be unfolded to display all autographs together. The scorecard itself is in good condition but the spine has split about 3 inches at both top and bottom.

Includes a full letter from PSA/DNA.
