The 1927 World Series saw the New York Yankees sweep the Pittsburgh Pirates in four games straight. This was the first time ever a National League team had been swept by an American League team. The Yankees of 1927 were a fearsome group led by Hall of Famers Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Tony Lazzeri, Earl Combs, Waite Hoyt, and Herb Pennock. Program is loaded with photos of all the players on both teams, owners, managers, coaches, plus loads of period ads. The program has been neatly scored in pencil for Game 4. Both covers and insides are clean with moderate wear including a vertical fold throughout. An attractive program overall for its age and an outstanding piece of World Series history.
