Bobby Jones was just a 25-year-old phenom when he posed for this original photograph at the 1927 U.S. Amateur, but already he had two U.S. Amateur titles under his belt. At that time, the U.S. and British Opens were the only two majors to hold that status, and the British Amateur and the U.S. Amateur were considered to be majors. In all, Jones won In all, Jones won five U.S. Amateurs, including this one in 1927. His confidence was an integral part in his success, and it is evident in this portrait photo. The original shot is encapsulated and deemed Type I by PSA/DNA.
