Offered is an extremely desirable original TYPE 1 photo (approx. 7x9 in size) depicting Babe Ruth with Baseball Hall of Fame broadcaster, Graham McNamee on Yankees' opening day at Yankee Stadium in 1927. The 1927 season is considered by most historians as the greatest team in baseball history. The original paper caption is attached and the Babe spoke into the microphone and said, “Hello Everybody – Babe Ruth speaking”.
The caption is dated 4-12-27 and the back of the photo has the original International Newsreel stamp along with a July 12, 1927 stamp (we presume it was used in the newspapers again, 3 months into the season).
