Beautiful pair of original wire photos featuring two of the greatest teams in New York Yankee history, the 1927 and 1928 World Champions. Both teams won over 100 games to capture the American League Pennant then finished off their National League rivals in the World Series with matching 4-0 sweeps. Both teams were loaded with members of the Hall of Fame - Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Miller Huggins, Tony Lazzeri, Earle Coombs, Waite Hoyt, and Leo Durocher. The 1927 photo does not carry player identification while the 10/1/28 team has all players identified. Both feature exceptional clarity of player images and have the "Wide World Photo" stamping on the back. Photos are very clean and mostly crease free aside from a small corner crease or two.
