Pair of 1926 USC football programs both featuring images of tackle Marion Morrison, soon to become world famous actor John Wayne.
1) October 30, 1926 Southern California vs. Stanford 32 page program. On page 10, entitled Trojan Tackles, is an individual action photo of Morrison. Program loaded with individual photos of all the players on both teams, rosters, statistics, interesting articles and period ads. Unscored program about G condition with center page detached from spine. Small date in pencil at top right white border. Insides with photos in great shape.
2) November 11, 1926 USC vs. Oregon Agricultural College 28 page program. On the Southern California Varsity Squad photo Morrison can be easily seen just right of center in the back row. Program has both individual and team photos of the players on both teams, rosters, statistics, interesting articles and period ads. Program is not scored but does have some ink writing on page 3. Spine has been reinforced with vintage tape. Program has center crease, probably from the person who viewed the game. Overall about G-VG with the inside photos in great shape.
