The 1925 World Series between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Walter Johnson and the Washington Senators went the distance, as the Pirates came back to beat the Senators in the decisive seventh game at Forbes Field. Offered here is a beautiful 64-page, 8" x 10.5" program from the Washington Baseball Club that contains countless black and white photos and advertisements, many of which feature the “Big Train” during his 1925 AL MVP season. In addition, each of the players on the hometown Senators that season are prominently presented with full length images and additional information. The front cover features both managers, and both covers have light staining and edge wear, protecting the delicate pages from the elements. The inner pages are in overall very good condition. The scorecard is clean and unmarked. Though the Nationals lost the tightly-contested 1925 series, this program is very sought-after because of the extensive nature of the photography of the players. Overall excellent condition.
