In 1925, the winner of the Submarine Division Eleven Baseball League was the Fourth Division of sailors aboard the U.S.S. Savannah. The trophy they were awarded for their outstanding hardball play is offered here.
The silver, two-handled vase-like trophy measures 16 inches tall by 11 inches wide at the tip of its handles. Across the front if the trophy is engraved the following text: “WINNER SUBMARINE DIVISION ELEVEN BASEBALL LEAGUE, Fourth Division, U.S.S. Savannah 1925.” The trophy is heavily tarnished.
