Featured is an epic original photograph of boxing legend and champion, Jack Dempsey sitting in the corner of the ring at the San Francisco Diamond Jubilee on September 14, 1925. Dempsey has a towel around his neck and his gloves are tightly fit and hanging on the ropes as he sits and waits for his opponents. The event would see Dempsey face and easily defeat two fighters in two round bouts in preparation for his next fight in which he would be defending his title. Verso has some pencil markings and a red "PRO" marking. Caption is dated 9/14/1925 and is affixed above the Wide World Photos stamp dated "Sep 27 1925." The 6 x 8.25 original photo has minor creasing and chipping along the right edge and some slight wrinkling in the bottom edge area. There is a small pin hole along the top edge above Dempsey's image but nothing detracts from the overall beauty and capturing of Dempsey with the large crow in the background. Overall VG or better quality photo and rare look at the boxing legend in such clarity. Authenticated and encapsulated TYPE 1 by PSA/DNA.
