Beautiful condition football designed 1924 Rose Bowl program for the January 1st contest between the 8-1 Washington Huskies and the 5-1-2 Navy Midshipmen, the first Bowl appearance for both. This would be the 2nd Rose Bowl held at the new Rose Bowl Stadium, built in 1923, and the 10th in the series. A close fought game, played on a field that experienced heavy showers the day before, ended in a 14-14 tie. Program contains individual Washington and Navy player photos, season player and individual records, college football rules of play, Team songs & yells, and surprisingly, no period ads. Program cover is crease free. The only minor flaw is a couple of small pieces missing from the oval surrounding Washington's head coach on the cover. Score card page has been scored in pencil with a couple of pencil notes below. Great piece of Rose Bowl history!
