Hall of Famer Jim Bottomley made St. Louis his home for eleven seasons and left an unerasable mark on the city, team, and fans alike with his amazing play as a first baseman. Bottomley was the third ever Cardinal to receive the award for Most Valuable Player, which accomplished during his 1928 campaign. Offered here is his personal 10K gold lapel pin decorated with four red rubies on each corner for each base on a baseball diamond. The circa 1920’s lapel pin is in excellent condition and is engraved “St. Louis Cardinals” around a baseball with the Cardinals logo on the centerpiece. The rear of the pin reads “10K” and is fully intact. Measures a ½” square.
