The Franklin D. Roosevelt original photograph offers a unique glimpse into the early life of one of America's most influential presidents 16 years before he first took office. The photograph depicts a young and vibrant Franklin D. Roosevelt during his time as assistant secretary of the Navy. He is seated in between assistant to the Secretary of War Walter Lippman and conciliator of the Department of Labor William Blackmon. The interdepartmental committee was given authority to address the problem of wage scales in government owned plants. The photo has been encapsulated and deemed Type I by PSA/DNA.
